DESIGNING YOUR LIFE COACH CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP
The Designing Your Life Virtual Coach Certification Workshop is an online deep dive into the DYL principles, designed for professionals (life & career coaches, career counselors, human resources & mental health professionals) wishing to utilize the DYL tools with individuals and groups of 10 or less.
You’ll spend three half days learning with Bill Burnett & Dave Evans, as well as other professionals who are passionate about using DYL in their practice.
Certified coaches get the following benefits:
- You will have exclusive access to quarterly DYL Coach “Learning Events”, which feature guest speakers, coach-led breakouts, Q&A and small group discussion, all aimed at helping you to grow your competency in the DYL tools
- You will become part of an opt-in learning and support community of DYL Coaches
- You will have access to all the Designing Your Life tools, early access to new tools as they become available – to be used or adapted into your own coaching practice
- You will be listed on our website as a DYL Certified Coach, with a link to the site you specify
- You may use the DYL Certified Coaches logo on your own marketing materials
- You will get coaches tips on the exercises and a behind-the-scenes explanation of how Bill and Dave teach and coach each exercise
- We will provide certification renewal on a regular basis, as defined by our certification agreement
To be eligible to be a DYL Certified Coach:
1) ACTIVE PRACTICE: You must have an active practice in one of the following professions:
- Life or career coach, with certification from a recognized coaching institute, training program, or school
- Career counselor at a non-profit or University, or with your own practice (if you’re university staff, please check out the Stanford Life Design Studio before applying to the DYL Coach Certification, as it may more closely fit your needs)
- Mental health professional who wants to add some DYL tools to your existing toolkit
- Human resources professional
2) READ BOTH BOOKS: You need to have read both the original Designing Your Life book and Designing Your Work New Life, and taken one of the following DYL workshops, prior to attending the Workshop
- DYL CreativeLive on-line class (available anytime, can be completed online anytime between now and the start of your workshop)
- DYL Virtual Journey (available periodically)
- DYL Virtual Journey for Women (available periodically)
- DYL Intensive In-person (not currently offered)
3) INDIVIDUAL + SMALL GROUP USE: You intend to use DYL principles and/or materials in your practice with individuals or small groups (10 or less) of clients. *This is NOT a license to teach commercial Designing Your Life workshops or to deliver training events. The cost of the ONLINE Certification Workshop is $2100, which includes your first year of certification. Annual renewal of your certification is $500.00.

- Full refund if cancelled more than 30 days from the date the Workshop – minus transaction fees
- 70% refund if cancelled within 10 days of the Workshop – minus transaction fees
- 50% refund otherwise – minus transaction fees
